Downloading & installing playRTPMPEG

Supported platforms

"playRTPMPEG" is currently available for Windows & Unix

Windows

Download and run the program "playRTPMPEGSetup.exe" (a self-extracting installer). You will also need a MP3 player program, such as "Winamp" or "FreeAmp"

Note: Running "playRTPMPEG" with a separate player application may not perform well on Windows 95 or 98 systems, because of the ridiculously large task scheduling granularity that these OSs use. (Windows NT is OK, however.)

Unix

Choose your platform: Solaris, FreeBSD, Linux,

Solaris (on SPARC )

  1. Download and 'gunzip' the file playRTPMPEG.gz
  2. Copy the file "playRTPMPEG" to a directory in your program search path.

FreeBSD

  1. Download and 'gunzip' the file playRTPMPEG.gz
  2. Copy the file "playRTPMPEG" to a directory in your program search path.

Linux (GNU/Linux/x86)

  1. Download and 'gunzip' the file playRTPMPEG.gz
  2. Copy the file "playRTPMPEG" to a directory in your program search path.
